Web Site Hosting
Accolade Group owns and maintains its own online Internet servers,
connected to the Sprint Global backbone. Providing hosting services
directly to our clients, rather than outsourcing to a hosting-farm,
enables us to control security, manage upgrades, and configure our
equipment to best serve our clients. Although managing our own hardware
necessitates taking on more responsibility, it also gives us the
flexibility to select the most viable solutions for our clients.
We're not boxed in to one or two technologies, but are free to explore
solutions that best fit our clients' needs.
Web Application Development
For clients that need a more sophisticated web site, or what we
call a "web application", we develop primarily in Microsoft's
state-of-the-art programming platform, the .NET Framework. This
platform includes ASP.NET and mobile-hand-held technologies, as
well as Visual Basic.NET and the C# programming languages. We utilize
Visual Studio.NET, Microsoft's development environment for programmers.
However, when our work needs to run on a Unix platform, we put on
our open-source hats and code with PHP, Perl, and MySQL.
Web and Graphic Design
Our Web design tools include the Macromedia MX Studio: Dreamweaver,
Flash, Fireworks, and Freehand.
